Why Winners Win

In regard to making money on the Internet, everyone is always
looking for the quick fix. They want to sign up for a program,
place an advertisement, and make hundreds or thousands of dollars
instantly. While this may be possible depending on your
circumstances, the most direct and guaranteed path to success on
the Internet is to stick with the fundamentals.

Someone I know who is the athletic coach for kids in the city
where I live reminded me of this lesson. This guy is actually so
passionate about kids and athletics that he coaches 4 different
sports: basketball, soccer, baseball and football. Of course, he
has a kid of his own on each team. But what is remarkable about
this guy is the results he gets with his teams.

He was recruited to coach the 8th grade football team where his
children go to school. After 27 years of losing seasons in a row,
the first year my friend became the head coach the team won the
district championship and repeated their championship run the
following year. This past weekend he coached 12 different games
and won all 12 of them. As you can tell, this guy is extremely
dedicated.

But the funny thing is that he and the kids he coaches are not
totally hung up on winning. If they lose a game, they feel
equally good about themselves as they would if they had won. What
matters most to them is how well they played and lived up to
their potential as a team.

The real question is how my friend's teams continually perform
on such a high level and beat nearly anyone they play even though
they are often smaller and younger than their competitors. I
asked this question to my friend the other day and he told me
that it's all in the fundamentals.

In his practices, all he works on with his kids is keeping a
positive mindset and practicing the fundamentals. He told me that
his teams never scrimmage or strategize about upcoming games
during practice. They simply work hard on all the fundamentals of
whatever particular sport they are playing and do so more than
any other team they play. This constant practice and improvement
of the fundamentals is what allows his teams to progress faster
than his competitors. While most other teams get caught up with
how to win, out-strategize, be stronger than and intimidate their
opponents, my friend's team is just so good at the basics that
they blow everyone out of the water when game day arrives.

This got me thinking about my own Internet business and why I've
been able to succeed on such a high level while many others who
have tried to do what I do have failed. The answer is not really
surprising.

Most people who try to build a successful Internet home business
are looking for the quick fix. They want it to work IMMEDIATELY
and so they usually fall prey to business opportunities that
promise to help them get rich overnight and advertising scams
that promise to deliver thousands of hungry prospects to their
website in the next 24 hours. Of course, these opportunistic
schemes are really just geared to steal people's hard earned
money. You see, when someone is desperate and looking for an
INSTANT solution, they will often be taken advantage of and their
chances for success with an Internet home business are slim to
none.

However, while there are thousands of business opportunities on
the Internet and millions of different ways to advertise and
promote your website, I personally practice the fundamentals in
my Internet home business. I do this by sticking with the
business opportunities I've joined for the long haul and
promoting my website consistently with simple, affordable and
easily maintained Internet marketing techniques.

In fact, one of the techniques that works best for me is writing
articles like this one and posting them on other website online.
This is a very simple and effective marketing technique that I

By writing articles and getting them published on other websites
all over the Internet which is really very easy to do, I'm able
to get my name and website address in front of thousands of

that doesn't cost anything but a little time and effort. Fact
is, it's this price of time and effort that most people are

It's this understanding that can separate you from the pack. If
you are willing to practice the fundamentals of your business
faithfully and consistently, you will be destined to succeed on a
high level. But if you can't and you're only looking for the
quick fix, you have already lost the game before you even set
foot on the field.

Even pros like me practice the fundamentals every day. In fact,
*especially* pros like me practice the fundamentals. The moment
I stop practicing the fundamentals is the moment I stop being a
pro. Think about this carefully and then renew YOUR commitment to
the fundamentals of your Internet home business today. Do this

What Is Your Perspective On 'Long Term' Thinking?

It's tough living up to being the "Fast Food Nation" and the generation that wants everything NOW. Although I'm almost 50, I've heard all my life that my generation was going to be the beginning of everything FAST. My Dad's generation was supposed to be the 'GREATEST' because they fought in wars and did an honest day's work of 8-5 and moved their families out into the suburbs and bought a house and a car and saved to send their kids to college. I wonder how surprised they were to find out my generation would want all those things as soon as we got out of college.
No wonder, we are the generation that were the first to get credit card applications in college (and in High School), we were the generation that experienced growing up on fast food and TV night being at least 4 nights a week. In my lifetime we have gone from vinyl records to 8 track tapes to cassettes to CD's to digital all within about 20 years (and to think it took my parents generation about 20 years to get everyone to just buy a TV! Why do I bring all this up?

Well, the expectation is still Victory to those who can persevere and 'wait' for good things to happen and be patient in the midst of adversity. But there is nothing foundational in most of our lives that has ever taught us to 'wait'. Patience is NOT our generation's virtue! Our generation has a hard time grasping reading vs. watching video and saving vs. credit and building vs. buying. And in all this I am trying to have a "long term" perspective about building an online business?

Here's a few things to take into account for those of my generation to make it to the end and build something long term:

1. Patience is STILL a virtue! A great battle many of us will have when even choosing what our future business will be and what we will build for the rest of our lives is, 'will I be able to do this for a long time'? 'Will I have the patience to persevere when things get really hard and it becomes a day by day conundrum of tedious tasks to get the small things done. Will I be able to ever stop and smell the roses and trust that it will all work out? Do yourself a favor and 'never' pray for patience... just take a deep breath, realize Rome wasn't built in a day, the world was here before you got here and will be here when you are gone, and this life is short (especially the older you get!)

2. Perseverance is a Pain but Necessary Tool! There are so many tools for us to fix things quick, to get things done TODAY, to find the solution in an instant. What gives us the right to persevere? I have found that when I persevere and add patience to it, it's usually the second or third thing that I've looked into that is actually the better of the choices. 9 times out of 10 my first choice may end up a disaster. There's something about 'waiting' and persevering that bring about the better options in life over and over again!

3. Suffering for doing GOOD! The idea that I won't get rich quick is frustrating. I'm really not a selfish and indulgent person. I really am not trying to build a great business just for me. I really do care about my family and would love to have the time and the money and the resources to be around them all the time (not what they might want!). But NOTHING good has ever happened in my life without a tinge of suffering. The pain of getting there, of doing the menial things toward the gain, the struggle and striving of the hours of reading and study to learn new tasks. ALL painful! But in the end, I realize over and over I'm become a better and stronger person because of it (I won't bore you with the countless stories of struggling in my life).

Why share all this with you? Because I KNOW for SURE ONE THING, there is no quick fix, no get rich quick, no real gain without the pain. And for that I am grateful and thankful no matter how it all mkakes me feel. I am not just doing business, I am becoming better for doing business.

11 Ways to Stay Motivated!

While you already know its important to exercise there will comes days when the last thing you want to do is exercise. Putting on that tracksuit and heading to the gym becomes a struggle even though you know deep down its the right thing to do.

So what can you do?

Here's 11 tips to help start that motivation fire going again...

1 - Take It One Day At A Time - Even the longest journey or change in lifestyle all begins with a single step. While these small steps might not seem much if they're repeated over and over again momentum will start to build up. Take the example of pushing a car, the first couple of pushes are the hardest but once the wheels are turning it takes less effort to keep the pace up. Just promise yourself that you're only going to train just today, then say this to yourself the next day and the next day.

2 - Does Your Goal Excite You - Does losing weight excite you or are you just going through the motions? If a goal doesn't excite you, you'll never give it your full attention. Grab a pen and paper and write a list of what this weight loss will do you for you. Make a list of about 10-20 things that will change because you've lost that weight.

3 - Visualize Your Success - If you haven't been successful how can you get that feeling of accomplishment, easy visualize! Some people say they have a problem with visualizing but we all do it. If I said what would you do if you won the lottery, I bet you'd have dozens of images flash through your mind. Now take that power and picture how you'll feel and look in that slimmer future. If you're still having problems take your list from tip 2 and read through it for help, those answers you wrote should help put some great images in your mind.

4 - Get In A Team - While its sometimes easy to get inspired for a short while, for longer periods sometimes we need others to give us that added kick up the pants. Try to find like minded people who want to make a change in their lives and use them to inspire you. If you can't find anyone close by that you can rely on or support from, why not use the internet and weight loss forums or help. Or if this isn't for you, why not look in books or magazines for inspirational stories that help lift you up.

5 - Hold Back - It can be easy to throw yourself "Gung-ho" into your fitness at the beginning, but slowly over time you burn out and motivation fizzle's away. So why not hold that motivation in check, if you feel that you could exercise for an hour why not cut back 25% and exercise for three quarters of an hour. This way you know you've still got more in the tank for the next time, when maybe you'll give it a little bit more. This way you're going to increase in intensity as time goes on rather than do the opposite.

6 - Sleep More - Lack so sleep can take the zip out of anyone, so try to get your daily amount, then you'll be mentally fit and prepared for whats ahead.

7 - Organize Your Space - If you've got clothes thrown over the exercise bike and you constantly have to look for exercise clothes/equipment you need a de-clutter. Clear out a space thats solely yours for exercising. If you want you can also put some posters/motivation images around that you can look at as you workout. In short make your exercise space a happy place that you look forward to visiting.

8 - Set Goals And Deadlines - Having a target or goal can be a great way to inspire yourself. Pick something small that you want to achieve like losing those first 5 pounds! Now go out and get it and don't stop till you've achieved it, then move on to the next goal. Unfinished goals can be a drain and kill motivation, but build on those small gaols and you'll start to feel more positive that you can do it.

9 - Use Music - Music can be a great motivator when you're down. You could be in the worst mental form of your life but when your favorite song comes you can change in an instant. Burn a CD or load up your mp3 player with all those favorite tunes that make you want to get up and go.

10 - Get Outside - Theres something magical that a bit of fresh air and change of scenery can do for us. If you're not feeling like exercising just take a short walk to clear your mind and get the blood flowing. After 5- 10 minutes don't be surprised if like "Forest Gump" you want to keep on going.

11 - Use Past Failures To Succeed - Human beings are strange things we love to break rules and go against the grain sometimes. We're told not to do something and what want to do the opposite!

So, why not use this power for you, call up all those old images of past failure or people telling you you'll never succeed and use it against them. Think to yourself "I'll show them I can do it"...and then go out and do it!

You Gotta Fix Yourself First!

Many years ago I was taking a break from a seminar and while
outside getting some fresh air I was approached by a man who
I have never meet before that day. We engaged in a
conversation and during this conversation this man commented
that you need to fix yourself first!

Still today I do not know who that man was but that phrase
he made changed my life in so many ways since that
conversation.

What does that mean? "Fix yourself First"

Every persons definition is going to be different from
person to person.

My version of fix yourself first is before you will attract
others to you and to be able to share your knowledge and
value you will have to make sure that your core values and
the way you live is all in order.

Many of you that have read any of my other articles might
remember me saying Do a check up from the neck up! Here are
some questions and phrases to think about.

People will follow people who are going places!

Do you have Passion for what you do?

Is your WHY big enough?

Have you thickened up your skin enough to handle the
negative about you being an Internet marketer with class?

Among all of those statements you just read, you need to fix
yourself first to be able to handle success!

You have heard of the way you think, will effect your
outcome on success, right? I have seen to many people who
get involved with an Internet Business when the doors of
success open up they freak out because they can not handle
the sudden success they are having with there business. All
of a sudden they realize they truly have a business and
people actually are following them as a leader.

Everything you say and do has an affect on more lives then
just their own.

See every person who I have ever looked at as a MENTOR in
life and business have always said the same thing on how to
prepare yourself for success. That is to read,read and read
even more to gain knowledge you will need to maintain
success. With today's tech knowledge if you do not like to
read you can get books on cds, dvds and even mp3 down
loads.

This is something you will have to do to have true success

7 Deadly Networking Mistakes!

Today's business is all about relationships. Social Media is here to stay; you have to be seen on Facebook, you must tweet and retweet on Twitter, and your LinkedIn profile has to be top-notch, however the more we connect in the virtual world to more we have to remember our roots on Terra Firma. Routinely overlooked, the original social networking - face-to-face, is a crucial hi-touch strategy to build critical local business relationships that are crucial to your success.

In my observation of business owners, executives and sales people at numerous networking events over the years, I have recognized consistent networking mistakes that can kill your chances of acquiring any new business contacts. Avoid these seven deadly mistakes and you should quickly build your referral business in any economic conditions.

Mistake #1 - No plan, no goals... no results

Without a networking plan, you waste valuable resources; time, energy and money. You should know, before you enter an event, what you want to accomplish. Practice three questions that align with your services (the answers will reveal if there is a pain or problem). Set time limits on what you discuss. Picture positive results in your mind before you even enter the room.

Mistake #2 - Bad (or worse, no) elevator pitch

The first seven words that you speak when meeting a potential client, a.k.a. a prospect, may be the only chance you have with that person. An elevator pitch or 30-second commercial is meant to cause the prospect to say "tell me more". Many networking novices try to cram as much company information as possible into their pitch. Keep it simple and you'll strike more interest.

Mistake #3 - TMI or Too busy telling

As an old mentor said "If you're too busy telling, you ain't selling." The primary goal of the networking event is to make a connection, not make a sale. Ask powerful questions to find out if there is a pain or need. If you make a friend you can present your solution later.

Mistake #4 - Talking to "Knowns"

Networking events present an opportunity to cold-call in a slightly warmer environment. Since many sales people hate cold calling, they end up talking to "known" friends instead of seeking "unknown" prospects. Make it a point to limit polite conversation with current referral partners to less than a minute.

Mistake #5 - Poor etiquette

Understanding how or when to join a group of individuals talking with each other is very important. Probably the biggest networking faux pas is barging in on a conversation. An introduction from a well respected business person is always the surest way. Always shake hands firmly, look directly into the eyes when speaking, and practice your table manners. If you are polite, respectful, up-beat, and ask appropriate questions you'll be one of the most remembered persons at the event.

Mistake #6 - Not being present

Be interested instead of trying to be interesting. Many times networking attendees believe the goal is to hand out as many business cards as possible. In their haste to meet that next prospect, they are not present with the current prospect. Instead try to collect as many business cards with answers to your three core questions as possible. Practice asking your three questions and practice listening. The timing of your next question will always come from listing to the answer to the first (and it will make you look like a Pro).

Mistake #7 - Lack of (correct) follow-up

Attending networking event after event without correctly following up with your new contacts is literally worthless. And follow up, just like networking, is not a one-time event. The point of following up is to stand out in the prospect's memory forever. Again, it's not a moment of selling but of reminding them that you're interested in them. If you want to stand head and shoulders above your competition don't resort to the ubiquitous email. Cement your place in your newfound business contact by sending them a sincere handwritten "Nice to meet you" or "Thank you" greeting card telling them how much you appreciate them for taking the time to talk about their business.. Then keep in regular personal touch with them by sending them cards on a consistent basis. Turn the most missed opportunity in networking into a way to differentiate you from your competition.

Practice appreciation. Avoid these seven deadly business networking mistakes like the plague. Enhance your networking activities and reap even greater rewards in the upcoming New Year.

Can You Work a Full-Time Job and Be an Online Success Too?

Most of us are working 50 hours just to keep up with the daily challenges of life and our monthly bills. We read article after blog after website about "Get Rich Online" and "Create Streams of Income" and "Get Paid Today" are we are tempted to throw away our career and start spending 12 hours a day signing up for EVERYTHING! Next thing you know the bills are stacking up and the mailbox is empty and you are asking yourself, "Where's the Get Rich today money?".

As someone who works 50 hours a week and ALSO is creating streams of income online, I'm here to tell you IT CAN BE DONE! Let me share with you how we began, middle aged and broke:

1. Two Heads are BETTER than One! My good friend Chris and I decided it wasn't good to be alone so we put our heads together and decided to SPLIT our talents equally. I tend to be more techno yet good with people. Chris on the other hand is excellent and in your face with people. Out talents are the same and yet we separate the responsibilities and both do our best with HALF.

2. One Guy Inside, One Guy Outside! The worst thing you can do is think "It's all about building a biz online, so I'll just barricade myself here in my closet with my laptop and the money will just stream in". We decided that I would dominate the computer work and Chris would dominate the outside world. He is always out meeting and networking LIVE with lots of poeple and I crank on the tech.

3. Rich Man, Poor Man! I tend to always be cash broke and there are tons of nickel and dime things you MUST buy (lists and help and marketing tools). Chris doled out his credit card and cash flow and that freed me up to just focus on building the business and not worrying about the money. We created an LLC and all proceeds will go back in the pot and pay Chris back.

4. All Things Equal! There is no competition in our partnership. We appreciate and value the skills and talent each of us has. We appreciate when one of us is rich and the other poor. The best part of our partnership is that it completely frees us both up to do 1/2 the work and STILL be able to work our full time jobs (I'm a Financial Advisor and Chris is a Real Estate Investor).

5. Family First, NOT a Cliche! Our life is not really all about the business, although we feel at times like all we do is work. We are both career oriented guys who love marketing and building business and helping others. But when it all comes down to it, we LOVE our families and do it all for them.

It is definitely something that has some perks as well as some draw backs. Take the time to learn more about the different pros and cons that are out there for this type of job.

One thing to consider is the type of work from home job that you will do. It is apparent that people who work from home will do a variety of different things. If you plan to work from home, then you should definitely do something that you would enjoy doing. You should also take the time to learn more about the amount of income that you can get from this type of employment. Will you be working for yourself? Or someone else? No matter what you will do, there are still different pros and cons.

Some of the advantages would include being able to set your own schedule. You will be able to control what you do and when you do it. You will also be able to choose the time frame that you work, although sometimes you will have certain deadlines to meet depending on what type of work that you do. Working from home can help you to be able to set your own pace and also help with convenience of balancing your work and home life. One of the biggest advantages, especially during an economic down turn is the fact that you would save money on travel expenses to and from a place of employment. You will also save money on clothes. You will not have to purchase clothes that are specific for work or business.

While there are these advantages, there are also some disadvantages. One of the biggest problems that you may face is having the self motivation to do the job that you need to get done. There are certain things that you must do when you work at home. You have to focus on these things and put out all other things from your mind when you are working. You may find that you have a lot of things, such as children, spouses, or chores to do around the house that may distract you from getting your work done at home. You will need to separate yourself from work and personal life when you are working from home.

Once you take a look at the various different advantages and disadvantages of working from home, you will be able to decide if it is something that you are cut out to do. While there are seemingly more advantages than disadvantages, you will need to focus and make sure that you will be able to have the benefits outweigh the costs.

Get Blogging with Twitter!

This article is going to cover something called micro-blogging. More specifically we will be covering the basics of a website called Twitter.com and how you can use that in your business.

By now I am sure you have heard of Twitter and may have heard various opinions of the site. Twitter is much more than a bunch of 'chatter' as many would refer to it. It is a very powerful 'micro-blogging' site and can prove to be one of your MOST effective marketing tools for your business.

First go to Twitter.com and set up your account. Be sure to choose a username that is SEO friendly. For example, 'Traverse City Real Estate', 'Leelanau County Boat Rentals', etc. If you can, try to choose a username that closely represents what you will be micro-blogging about. In many cases your name will be fine too!

Ok, so what exactly is micro-blogging?

Simply put, it's a short version of blogging in 140 characters or less and on Twitter it's called a 'tweet'. Because Twitter allows you to connect to other people from all around the world and in your area, your tweet will broadcast out to a large group of people. Many people start using Twitter and then get confused because there are so many others on the site tweeting about what they are eating, what they are watching on TV, or where they are going that day. Although it is fine to occasionally tweet about these things, it is best to keep your tweets professional and on topic.

People will 'follow you' by subscribing to your profile so they can receive your tweets. Other people in your profession and those that are interested in what you do follow you on Twitter because they are interested in your field of business and not so much because they care about what you are eating. This is exactly what you want. You want people that are interested in you and your business and what you have to say about topics related to your business.

Before we move along any further I would like to give you a basic list of some common acronyms that are used on Twitter and their definitions.

Tweet- a micro-blog of 140 characters or less

ReTweet - tweeting content that was already posted by another user

Tweeps - people on twitter (also tweople or tweeple)

Twitterverse - everyone on Twitter as a whole

Followers - people that subscribe to your tweets

Un-Follow - unsubscribing to someone's tweet

Hashtag - keywords used on Twitter. These can be more than one word but not normally more than three with no spaces and preceded by the hash (#) symbol such as #TCRealEstate or #TraverseCity. I recommend that you sign in and follow hashtags so that your tweets are indexed by the service.

FollowFriday - a hashtag (#followfriday) used on Fridays to recommend other tweeps that post good content

Followorthy - tweeps that are worthy of being followed normally because they give a lot of good advice on their topic of expertise

Twammer - a twitter spammer

Twedia - news and media on twitter (i.e. @nytimes)

Ok so now that you know a little bit of the lingo, here are 8 tips you should take into consideration as you start to use Twitter:

1. Don't start getting too excited about everyone that follows you and reciprocate an auto-follow back to them. Only follow people that YOU want to hear things from. This prevents follow-spam or people that follow you just to get you to follow them. When you follow someone on Twitter everyone will then be able to preview that person's tweets on your Twitter page.

2. Follower count doesn't matter. There are a lot of people obsessed with increasing their follower counts. It doesn't matter how many people are following you; it matters that the people following you actually want to hear what you have to say.

3. I don't recommend that you use the feature called 'auto DM' (Direct Message) to thank people and especially for self promotion as this can get annoying.

4. DO NOT tweet about what you are eating unless you're in the food business. It's just tacky and no one really cares what you ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

5. Think before you tweet! Don't just tweet about ANYTHING you do not want the entire world to know. Tweets can be permanent even if you delete them. Because Twitter is indexed by the search engine spiders every few minutes it is very possible that your tweet could remain in the search engines archive for many days. Overall just be sure to use prudence when tweeting.

6. Check out people's profiles and recent tweets before you click to follow them. Make sure they are tweeting about things of interest to you. Again, their tweets will appear on your page as soon as click to follow them.

7. Try using Twellow.com to find people that tweet about subjects that are of interest to you. Twellow is the Twitter yellow pages and you can find people who tweet about any topic imaginable.

8. Grammar Matters! Ok, now I know that it's only 140 characters but that is no reason not to use proper spelling and grammar. Using Twitter shorthand or abbreviations is perfectly acceptable, but bad spelling or an overuse of acronyms may cause people to un-follow you. Here's some ways you can tweet and have conversations with other tweeps. These functions are pretty cool so be sure to pay attention.

DM - Direct message to another person on twitter. This is not displayed in the public timeline, but is displayed on the other person's private timeline. To test this out feel free to send me a direct message. In the top text box that asks you what you are doing simply type in "DM @BlueLaVaMedia your message" It's really that easy!

@ - Used just before another person's username (i.e. @BlueLaVaMedia) to talk directly to (or at) another person. Try sending me a reply if you like. Again in the top text box type in "@BlueLaVaMedia and your reply message" Again...very easy to do.

RT - ReTweet - used just before another person's full tweet when you are retweeting without altering the original message. Original message is copied into the text box for submitting. (i.e. RT @BlueLaVaMedia original message of mine would be here)

Via - Used in parenthesis immediately after a message you have altered to give credit to the original tweet. For example: (via @BlueLaVaMedia) would be used when giving credit to one of my tweets after altering it slightly.

Are you still with me here? Ok let's talk a little about Twitter shorthand. Twitter shorthand is pretty much the same as cell phone text messaging. Go to http://www.sitemasher.com/seed-the-web-blog/my-twittonary--every-twitter-term-and-tool-i-can-find for an exhaustive list of Twitter shorthand Don't get overwhelmed by all of the terms and new Twitter language. It is perfectly acceptable to type everything out when tweeting. As time goes on you will find that you need to shorten words to get your entire message across in 140 characters or less and you will eventually learn the language.

Well that about does it for your Twitter 101 class. Now go out there now and just dive right in with your newly discovered microblogging site. Start tweeting about topics you know about and start following people that talk about topics that interest you.

Before you can have a successful home based business, you must first possess 3 "intangibles." These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

===> Intangible 1 <===

First,you must have a strong WHY.

Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money working from home. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money with your own home based business.

I've always said that "affiliate marketing" (a simple way to make money from home) is the job of the future. In the old days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. In fact, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.

Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home based business.

That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home based business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be *IN THE RING* to truly understand and profit from it. In fact, this is a business where you can truly be earning WHILE you're still learning...

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home based business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow and therefore you succeed. This is what I call: "Making the Leap"!

The good news is that the cost of failure with having your own home based business is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100.
